When I was asked to take pictures of Durham, North Carolina’s King’s Daughters Inn, I was told the spread was going to be all about headboards.  You see, each room has it’s own unique theme, complete with gorgeous one of a kind handmade headboards.  But when I started shooting I was drawn to something other than the headboards- the light.  This beautiful inn is studded with giant windows and is just lousy with mirrors and reflective surfaces, and I couldn’t help myself.  Each room is framed with mirrors on the walls, mirrored tables, mirrored dressers, all reflecting the color and theme coordinated decor. It’s truly a sight to behold, and an amazing addition to Durham.
