Last spring I got to watch something really amazing- my sister Lauren get engaged! Her fiance, Bradley, proposed to her during one of our monthly ya-ya book clubs, which meant that her sisters, mother, aunts, and cousins all got to watch as she and Bradley made it official. It was incredible. This past month while we were all home for Christmas I shot some engagement portraits of these two at the UNC Arboretum (on a beautiful Christmas Eve that felt more like spring than December!). They’re so much fun to be around and I’m thankful that I get to be a part of it. I can’t wait to call Bradley part of the family.
I love photographing a couple that is fun, upbeat, and willing to try new things. From standing on benches to the obligatory desaturated jumping in front of urban graffiti shot, Justin and Miranda were a blast to shoot.
Aaron and Megan are two of our closest friends, so when they asked for engagement photos I was equal parts thrilled and terrified. I loved shooting them, they were the best combination of comfortable, relaxed, and adorable.
